The NCCTM Regional Math Fair was held at North Asheboro Middle School on March 17, 2018. There were 86 total projects and 116 K-12 students from 36 schools. Most of the participants were in the primary and elementary divisions. The 5th and 6th grade division had the largest number of student mathematicians. First place, second place, third place, and honorable mention awards were given in each division. Poplar Springs Elementary had a winner in each division K-2, 3-4, and 5-6! Kaydence Moore, Ragan Burge and Ta’Mar Shrewsbury, and Otto Bloeser and Lilly Pence will advance to the state math fair to be held at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics on Friday, May 4, 2018.
